Table Service Lunch in Hollywood Studios
The Hollywood Brown Derby
- Location: Hollywood Boulevard
- Fine/Signature Dining
- Reservations Strongly Recommended
- $35 – $60 per person
- American Cuisine
While the Hollywood Brown Derby may be a bit expensive for lunch, it’s a beautiful location for a date or adult meal in the middle of the day. Brown Derby is at the very top of the list in our guide to Hollywood Studios for Adults and it’s also featured in our general list of Best Disney World Restaurants for Adults.
The interior is well-suited for a fancier dining experience without being too over-the-top. It’s inspired by the original Brown Derby in Hollywood, CA and showcases different celebrity caricatures on the walls.
The food is delicious no matter what you choose to eat, but if you’re trying not to blow all your money in one sitting, we suggest you try Our Famous Cobb Salad which is the least expensive item on the menu. It’s also the restaurant’s signature dish.
If you aren’t able to secure reservations for the Hollywood Brown Derby, opt to sit at the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge where you can snag a seat at the bar and order from a select menu of lunch items.
A couple unique dining options available at Hollywood Brown Derby include the Fantasmic! Dining Package ($65 per person) which includes your meal and VIP seating at the show, and the Dine with an Imagineer Package.
50’s Prime Time Cafe
- Location: Echo Lake
- Unique/Themed Dining
- Reservations Recommended
- $15 – $35 per person
- American Diner
50’s Prime Time Cafe is one of the most perfect lunch spots in Hollywood Studios: it’s casual, great for small or large groups, and has the right amount of nostalgia to make you feel at home. The overall theme of the restaurant is set to mimic the living rooms and dining rooms of our mother’s and grandmother’s homes from the 1950’s.
You’ll also become a member of the family the moment you’re seated and you’ll be expected to set the table and clean your plate in order to earn your dessert. They have a nice variety of meal choices like meatloaf, pot roast and fried chicken. The desserts are worth a look, especially the Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake.
If you aren’t able to get a reservation for 50’s Prime Time Cafe, ask to sit at the Tune-in Lounge which features a small bar counter with a slew of old tv’s playing 1950’s shows on the wall. You can order from the full restaurant menu at the bar.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
- Location: Commissary Lane
- Unique/Themed Dining
- Reservations Strongly Recommended
- $15 – $35 per person
- American Cuisine
The Sci-Fi Dine-in is a great choice for a casual meal in the middle of the day. It’s a nice place to cool off and relax while dining on classic American burgers and fries. The theme of the restaurant harkens back to the early days of drive-in movies, with each table taking the form of a parked car and situated in front of a giant movie screen. You’ll get to watch some old flicks and commercials while eating.
The Sci-Fi Appetizer Sampler is a great way to start off if your party is very hungry. Some of the best menu items for lunch include any one of their burgers with an array of toppings and the Oven-Roasted Turkey Sandwich.
Hollywood & Vine
- Location: Echo Lake
- Buffet/Family-style Dining
- Reservations Strongly Recommended
- $35 – $65 per person
- American Cuisine
Hollywood & Vine is a character dining location, featuring some of the Fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, etc) with characters subject to change on occasion. We’d mainly recommend this restaurant for families with kids, not so much for adult-only groups.
The food buffet isn’t outstanding, but the main draw of the restaurant is definitely seeing the characters in special costumes. Another perk of Hollywood & Vine is the option to purchase the Fantasmic! Dining Package with your meal. The cost is $63 per person and includes your meal and VIP seating for the show.
Hollywood & Vine is also Hollywood Studios’ only table-service breakfast restaurants, which we cover extensively in our guide to Hollywood Studios Breakfast.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano
- Location: Grand Avenue
- Casual Dining
- Reservations Recommended
- $15 – $35 per person
- Italian Cuisine
Mama Melrose’s is a restaurant that often gets forgotten as it’s fairly hidden from the main walkway and is not highly rated as a dining location. However, if you’re in the mood for Italian food while in Hollywood Studios, this is your best bet for getting that spaghetti or lasagna.
The menu is pretty standard for an Italian place featuring dishes like pastas, Chicken Parmigiana, and Tiramisu. They also offer the Fantasmic! Dining Package for $65 per person.
Oga’s Cantina
- Location: Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge
- Lounge
- Reservations Strongly Recommended
- $15 – $35 per person
- Unique, Star Wars inspiration
Oga’s Cantina (one our favorite items on our list of Disney World Must-Do’s)is patterned after the infamous “Star Wars Bar” seen in the original trilogy and serves more as a bar/lounge/hangout area than a restaurant. Even though this place is awesome and you should visit, we would only recommend it for lunch if you’re planning to eat very light.
The only items on the menu you can eat are not full lunch meals, but more like snacks. Both the Rodian Ration and Oga’s Obsession are jello-like concoctions that have boba balls and other similar toppings on them. The Batuu Bits are a chip/snack mix and the Happabore Sampler includes meats, cheeses, and pork rinds.

ABC Commissary

- American Cuisine
ABC Commissary is a pretty standard cafeteria loaded with typical American lunchtime meals. - Counter Service with Shared Outdoor Seating
- Mobile Orders Available
- $15 and under per person
- American, Tex-Mex Cuisine
Fairfax Fare is right at the end of Sunset Boulevard before you approach Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. It’s got a nice variety of different Tex-Mex dishes like empanadas, fajitas and rice bowls for you to choose from.
The portions make for a satisfying lunch, but prepare to eat standing or sitting on the walkway as there aren’t many seating areas near this stand.
Rosie’s All-American Cafe
- Location: Sunset Boulevard
- Counter Service with Shared Outdoor Seating
- Mobile Orders Available
- $15 and under per person
- American Cuisine
Rosie’s All-American Cafe truly is all-American. They have burgers, hot dogs AND chicken nuggets – great for the whole family to enjoy. This stand shares outdoor seating with the surrounding stands of Sunset Boulevard, so it may be difficult to find a spot to enjoy your tasty meal.
PizzeRizzo
- Location: Grand Avenue
- Counter Service with Indoor Seating
- Mobile Orders Available
- $15 and under per person
- Pizza, Italian Cuisine
Pizza is the main fare here (as the name would imply) and this little eatery is owned by Rizzo (the rat from Muppets) and his family. The pizza quality is about what you’d expect for quick service dining and will hit the spot if you’re craving pizza in the middle of the day.
Catalina Eddie’s
- Location: Sunset Boulevard
- Counter Service
- Mobile Orders Available
- $15 and under per person
- American Cuisine
Catalina Eddie’s specializes in pizza and salads and is a fairly decent choice as far as outdoor quick service goes. The pizzas come in three flavors: pepperoni, cheese and meatlovers, and Caesar Salad with Chicken pairs well with their side of Breadsticks.

Dockside Diner is a tiny walk-up stand with a few tables and chairs on the banks of Echo Lake. It’s got just a few menu items to spark anyone’s interest in hot dogs or bbq sandwiches. They’ve also got delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic milk shakes to end your meal sweetly.
KRNR The Rock Station
- Location: Sunset Boulevard
- Counter Service
- $15 and under per person
- American Cuisine
This stand is right outside the exit of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and sticks with the rock music theme, posing as a radio station promotional counter. It’s mostly got hot dogs, fries and soft drinks – if that’s what you’re in the mood for, they’re pretty delicious.
BaseLine Tap House
- Location: Grand Avenue
- Lounge
- $15 and under per person
- American Cuisine
BaseLine Tap House takes inspiration from modern-day downtown Los Angeles and has ultra urban interior. It’s a great place to chill for a bit whether seated inside or on their outside patio.
There isn’t a whole lot in the way of lunch food here, but if you’re in the mood for a small plate of cheese and charcuterie or a big Bavarian Pretzel with a craft beer, this is a great place to relax.
